What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
Sometimes I spend hours looking at images from JWST or watching space documentaries, in complete awe of how small we are in the universe, but how big of impact we make. It reminds me of the story “Horton hears a who”. Just because we cant see it or feel it, doesn’t mean it isn’t there. There is so much we don’t know.

So far it seems like a very welcoming and laid-back environment. Starting a new job is always a little scary but I mostly just feel excited to learn more about my new position and colleagues!
What is your favorite family tradition?
More of a game, but someone in my family was given five clown figurines that no one wants, so of course we try to pawn them off on each other by hiding them in closets, luggage, under pillows, etc. I haven’t seen one for a while so I’m sure it’s hiding in my house somewhere!
What cause(s) do you care about?
I love animals so anything to do with animal welfare. I have also been volunteering as a youth mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the past few years and it’s been very rewarding to help guide my little sister and see her thrive.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a… veterinarian when I grew up—before I learned I wouldn’t just be playing with the animals all day.
If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d start… a board game café! My husband would handle the board game side of things and I’d run the food/drink side.

Spending time with my husband and our dog, whether it’s taking long walks when the weather is nice, or staying in watching Netflix, playing video or board games.
